A lot of magic mods in Minecraft overcomplicate things. Too many keybinds, and now your players forget what button does what. Too many items, and now it becomes a hassle to switch items from inventory to hotbar just to use a spell. No proper scaling, and now you have players one-shotting bosses after just getting started playing, or maybe never becoming powerful because the level curve for the mod is badly tuned. And the most common issue I find with magic/combat mods; they never do the PvP interactions right.

Synergy aims to solve this. With a brand-new control system, requiring a single hotkey that lets players switch between the normal Minecraft and the Synergy hotbar, allowing for dynamic combat without struggling over what items to use or keys to press. It’s intended to be user-friendly and intuitive out of the box, while still providing ample in-game guidance for progressing.

While the controls are simple, the spells are not. With over 16 elemental types and 144 techniques to use, players will always have another technique to master, as well as to defend, because PvP is a core principle of Synergy. The mod is a perfect blend of easy to learn, hard to master.
